Church-Sponsored For Boys and Girls

Awana provides a local church-sponsored program for all boys and girls, regardless of their religious affiliation. Our hope is that all club members will accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, then build on that foundation to serve God.

A typical club evening for each group consists of three main segments; an active game time geared to each age level, a session for handbook achievements, and a group council time where the Gospel is clearly presented and young people are challenged to Christian living and service.

AWANA is open to boys and girls from age 3 through 6th grade.

  • Cubbies – 3-5 years old
  • Sparks – K through 2nd grade
  • Truth and Training – Grades 1 through 6

AWANA helps the church and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. The program offers a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. AWANA club meetings combine learning with fun to get kids excited about God’s Word and applying it to their daily lives. Club meetings are divided into three segments: Game Time: Game time focuses on FUN, team competitions where clubbers develop team spirit, cooperation and good sportsmanship. Handbook Time: Handbook time allows clubbers to step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. Clubbers work one-on-one with their leaders, reviewing their handbook memorization and developing their mental and spiritual abilities. Council Time: Council time is a group time with inspirational messages and studying the application of God’s Word to the clubbers’ lives.

CBC AWANA Clubs:  Cubbies, a co-ed program for 3 and 4 year olds. Sparks, co-ed program for Kindergarten, first and second grades.  Truth & Training, third through sixth grades. AWANA meetings are held on Wednesday nights, 6:30 to 8:00 PM. They start early in September and continue through the end of April.
